The Exhibitions
So the end of year and end of course exhibitions have arrived and gone. It’s been an exciting and busy time. The exhibitions were great full of amazing work. We were so lucky to have such amazing tutors at Bedford college both our exhibition at Bedford college and at D&AD were something to be proud of. I am sad it is all over. Here are some photos of my work amongst others at the various exhibits.
Self Promotion Project
Above are some images of a self promotion project. This is my last brief at college and the one I enjoyed the most.
The box has a mounted hand calligraphy address label. In the box is a small card which has a quote from Shakespeare written inside. The quote is as follows ” If you can look into the seeds of time, and say which grain will grow and which will not, speak then unto me”. The card itself is made from recycled material. The outer image is of a man gathering wheat in a field. On the back of the card it says “I could grow at Grain”. Under which is printed my URL. (Grain Ltd is the company I am targeting.)
Also in the box is a sheave of wheat and a small brown Hessian bag. The bag is filled will pumpkin seeds. Upon each seed is handwritten a quality of mine.
In the final piece the sheave of wheat was removed and a smaller more basic box was used. It was exhibited at the Bedford College end of year show and on our stand at D&AD
My First Yoga Lesson
Today I went for my first Yoga lesson. I expected some meditation and stretching. I didn’t expect that I would find getting into some of the poses to be quite so difficult or that I would arrive home feeling like I had done a full work out at the gym. Overall it was a positive experience and I will definitely be going again
Yo Sushi Electronic Take-Away Bag
In this brief we were asked to redesign the take-away packaging for Yo-Sushi. The current take-away bag is brown. I chose to change the bag to the shape of a Japanese floor lamp and add some lights.
